New leadership and membership of the PTBnWO Award Committee for the 2026–2030 term
Dear Sir or Madam,
On 23 October 2026, at the second scheduled time, at 4:00 p.m., the General Reporting and Election Meeting of our Society was held. After submitting their reports and receiving a positive opinion from the Audit Committee, the outgoing Board was granted a vote of confidence. Following the elections for the 2026–2030 term, Michał Zwierzykowski was re-elected President. The composition of the Board and Audit Committee also remained unchanged.
On 27 October 2026, the Board held its first meeting of the new term, at which it decided to leave the allocation of positions unchanged. Danuta Kowalewska and Maciej Forycki will serve as Vice-Presidents, Piotr Skowroński as Secretary General, Piotr Ugniewski as Treasurer, and Anna Grześkowiak-Krwawicz and Izabella Zatorska as Board members.
In accordance with the regulations governing the PTBnWO Award for the best doctoral dissertation, the Board also selected the Award Committee for the 2026–2030 term. There was only one change to its membership. Following the resignation of one of the Committee members, François Rosset of the University of Lausanne was elected to the Committee. From 23 October 2026 he is also one of the Honorary Members of PTBnWO.
